ABOUT ALEN MAYER

A CAREER BUILT AROUND
REAL BUSINESS DECISIONS.

For 33 years, my work has focused on helping people perform when the answer was not obvious, the pressure was real and human judgment mattered.

Today, I bring that experience into a new business reality: artificial intelligence can generate more information, analysis and recommendations than ever before, but people still decide what deserves trust, challenge and action.

WHY THIS WORK

The technology changed. The difficult part did not.

My career began in sales and business development and expanded into consulting, executive coaching, leadership development and professional training.

Across those settings, the recurring challenge was rarely a lack of information.

It was deciding what mattered, what the evidence actually supported, what another person really meant, how to respond when interests conflicted and when to act without certainty.

Artificial intelligence makes those questions more urgent, not less.

WHAT SHAPED THE WORK

Built through practice, not invented for the AI moment.

Better Judgment in the Age of AI did not begin as a reaction to a trend.

It grew from decades of work where better results repeatedly depended on how people interpreted information, understood others, questioned assumptions and made decisions under pressure.

Long before AI made answers abundant, that pattern pointed to a consistent set of human capabilities: asking better questions, weighing evidence, choosing an appropriate response and acting responsibly.

AI has changed the environment. It has not removed the need for those capabilities.

THE CENTRAL IDEA

KEYNOTES

A clear and memorable perspective on why judgment is becoming more valuable as intelligence becomes widely available.

MY POINT OF VIEW

I do not teach people what to decide.

I help them become better at examining how they decide.

That means looking beyond the most polished answer, questioning what appears obvious, noticing what the available information may not contain and accepting responsibility for the final choice.

The decision remains human. So does the responsibility for it.
